Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Grand Neo Smartphone in India after a month of its global launch. The device has not been listed on the company's website and official e-store till date, but is available on e-commerce websites. It can be purchased on The Mobile Store at 18,299 and on Snapdeal at 18,679. The other competitors in this price range are LG Optimus, LG Pro Lite Dual, Sony Xperia C, Micromax Canvas Turbo and Xolo Q3000.
Display and Camera
In terms of display of the Galaxy Grand Neo is quite similar to its predecessor Galaxy Grand. Both have 5-inch display with 800x480p resolutions. The new release has a 5MP rear camera and VGA front camera, while the original version had 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera.
There is similarity under the hood too. Both are dual-SIM Smartphones. Both have an entire gigabyte of RAM and 2,100mAh battery which can last upto 11 hours of talk time.
Although Neo is powered by Quad-core processor, there is a downgrade from A9 to A7 chip-set. However, the advantage is that Grand Neo comes with 8 and 16GB storage variants, as compared to the original Grand which had only 8GB of internal storage.
Software
Much like Galaxy Grand, the Neo version uses Android 4.2 as its operating system. It supports a variety of apps that can be downloaded from Google play.
