Intex Launches Aqua Curve Smartphone apparently with curved display


Intex, the computer peripherals maker from India launched Aqua Curve Smartphone which apparently has curved display. However the pictures released for the press did not show a curve in the handset. Reasonably priced at.Rs 12,490, it is aimed at youth and those who want some newness in the handset they own.

The phabet comes with a 5-inch touchscreen which is having a quarter HD resolution with pixel ratio of 540x960. The display is made out of One Glass Solution (OGS). Following suite with its predecessors of Aqua series the gadget is powered by a quad-core processor and this one runs at 1.3GHz. It has a whole gigabyte of RAM at its disposal. It has Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 as its operating system. Internal memory is 4 GB and the good news is that it is expandable up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. All these features makes it perfect for gamers.

For those who complain that smart phone does not have enough battery backup, this device boasts of 4.5 hours of talk time or 180 hours when in standby mode. You can stay on line with 3G and it supports Wi-Fi as well. The dual SIM phone is available in attractive shades of red, blue and black.


An interesting app called as "Shake screenshot" allows you to take a screenshot by just shaking your phone! The package is loaded with some useful softwares like Matrabhasha, Intex Play and NQ Vault as well. "Aqua Curve is a Smartphone for next generation mobile phone users who like to make their own style statement and prefer to stay connected, while on the go", Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head of Intex's mobile divison said, as reported by Surbhi Chawla of Gizmodo.
