World's Thinnest Smartphone Has A New Name: Umeox X5

It’s been just a week, since Huawei, the Chinese manufacturer stunned world with Ascend P6, a Smartphone of just 6.18mm thickness. However Ascend P6 would be sorry to hear about a new shocker from China itself. Named Umeox X5, this Android Smartphone from the manufacturer Umeox comes in a razor thin body of 5.6mm.

However, there is a reason for Huawei to relax, as unlike the Ascend P6, Umeox X5 is not going to be a high-end phone, in terms of specifications. The phone will be released by end of this year and will reach European markets first.

Going with the specifications, this 5.3 inch Smartphone will carry an 8 Megapixel primary camera and a 3 MP front camera for self portraits and video calls. The reports suggest that a quad-core processor will be powering this phone which will be running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Meanwhile, the onlookers are concerned about the battery capacity, as it is the only area where the manufacturers can cut maximum in terms of “thickness.”
