HTC Desire 500 To Reach India At 24,000

HTC’s latest entrant into the Android segment, Desire 500 will likely reach India with a price tag of around 24,000. The phone which was released earlier this week comes with the company’s latest Sense 5 skin on top of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.

The mid-range device packs a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor along with 1 GB of RAM. However, the 4.3 inch display disappoints with resolution of 480x800 pixels. The 4 GB internal memory can be expanded till 64 GB with MicroSD card.

The Smartphone packs an 8 MP rear shooter that can shoot videos at 720p, accompanied by an LED flash. A 1.6 MP front shooter assists self portraits and video calls. A 1,800 mAh battery assists the power requirements.

Even though HTC has included Beats Audio and BlinkFeed, the company skipped BoomSound and the dual front stereo speakers in the device.

The company has also launched a smaller version of its flagship HTC One on last week. Dubbed as HTC One Mini, the device packs slightly low specs than the flagship phone.

The global roll out date of HTC Desire 500 is not yet available, however, we can expect it somewhere in September this year.
