Big Screen Budget Phablets Under 15000

Phablets, the Smartphone-tablet hybrids has turned out to be the latest favorites of market. This hybrid device, which measures screen size of 5-inches and above has created hype with the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note. If you think phablets are known for their high price tag, then it’s better to have second thought as majority of the Indian manufacturers are on the go for low-cost phablets with large screens which provide ample space for games and viewing videos.

Byond Phablet PII


Pune-based tech manufacturer, Byond recently unveiled the Phablet P II at a price of 14, 999 which is currently available in the Indian market at 12, 699.


The phone sports a 5.7-inch multi-touch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display which bears a  resolution of 1280*720 pixels. Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, the dual-SIM phablet is powered with a 1GHz processor accompanied by 1GB of RAM and 2500 mAh battery which claims 100 hours of stand-by time.


The phablet has an 8 megapixel rear camera along with a 3MP front-facing camera for video calling. It has an in-built storage of 4GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity wise, the phablet includes WI-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and GPS. It has pre-loaded with apps like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Skype and games such as angry birds and Temple Run.


Swipe MTV Volt


California- based Swipe Telecom has launched an Android a phablet device in collaboration with MTV. Codenamed as MTV Volt, it is priced at 12, 999.


The Swipe MTV Volt is designed with a white velvet body with  textured back. It has a huge 6-inch (854*480 pixels) capacitive 5-point multi-touch display. The device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera too.


It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MTK 6577 processor with 512MB RAM with a 3,200 mAh battery claiming to have between 8 to 10 hours of talk time. The internal storage of the device is 4GB that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Besides, the device has an in-bulit TV-player that offers on-the-go access to MTV and also features FM Radio with Transmitter. It includes connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, EDGE and GPS.


Karbonn A30- Ta Fone


Karbonn, was the first Indian manufacturer to enter the phablet scenario with the launch of A30- Ta Fone. The device which was priced at 12, 990 during its launch, is now available at a best buy price of 11, 100.


The device is equipped with 5.9 inch capacitive touch display with 480*800 pixels and runs on Android 4.0 and features an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera as well. It supports dual-SIM functionality and comes with a battery of 2500 mAh which claims to have 10 hours of talk time.


The A30-Ta Fone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor alongside 512MB RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal storage with an expandable storage of 32GB via microSD card. It includes connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and USB. The phone is pre-loaded with apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp, PayTM, Saavn and Karbonn Smart.



Spice Stellar Pinnacle Mi-530


Spice Stellar Pinnacle mi-530 launched by S Mobility priced at 13, 999 is the company’s entry into phablet arena with a big 5.3 inch qHD IPS display.


The dual-SIM device runs on Android 4.0 and can be upgraded to jelly Bean OS. It is designed with a 5-megapixel autofocus front camera and powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM. It comes with 16 GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The 2,550mAh Li-ion-Polymer battery claims to have a talk-time of more than 4 hours.


It includes connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and a range of sensors. The phablet comes with Dual Mic Noise Suppression technology which reduces the ambient sound interferences to offer clear conversations. Besides, it is equipped with another feature, the on-board Magnetic Sensor that lets the user take advantage of downloadable e-Compass apps.



Intex AQUA Style


Intex, the latest company to join the phablet arena has entered with the launch of Intex AQUA Style. It was priced at 11,200 during its launch but now it is available at   10, 799, makes it the cheapest phablet in the mobile market.


The phablet comes with a 5.9 inch capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 480*800 pixels. It is a dual-SIM Smartphone that runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB RAM. It has an internal storage of 4GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.


The device comes with 25oomAh battery which claims to have a talk-time of 3.5 hours and stand-by time of about 100 hours. Camera wise, it has an 8-megapixel rear view camera with flash and 1.3 megapixel front camera for video calling. It includes connectivity options such as Bluetooth 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS and pre-installed apps like Gmail, Nimbuzz, Facebook, WhatsApp, Google Maps and YouTube.
