Moto E is the latest budget smartphone released by Motorola on May 13, 2014, aiming at the crowded low cost market. 5. Splash Resistant Coating: The phone is covered with a splash resistant coating, not a water resisting guard. This means that the phone can resist temporary exposure to liquid; small splashes of water. This guard can protect the phone from a few drops of water and it covers the outside and the inside body of the phone. Therefore, tossing the phone in water is not advisable.

6. Colorful Shells: Moto E comes with a range of colorful shells like red, blue, green, yellow, turquoise, pink, white and maroon to pick from while other phones come with the same black, white and grey options.
